EALING CHILDREN RETURN TO SCHOOL WITH A WHOLE NEW OUTLOOK THIS TERM THANKS TO SEHBAC. When the London Borough of Ealing decided it was time to replace the old and decaying windows and external doors at Greenwood Primary School in Northolt, time was the one thing that was in short supply. |
|
140 high performance aluminium windows, 14 sets of secure external doors and over half a mile of decorative cladding had to be manufactured, now the hard bit, fitted and finished in just nine days. This presented the appointed contractor SEHBAC with quite a challenge. Working closely with Ealing Council's consultants, Babcock Infrastructure Services, SEHBAC surveyed the building and manufactured the windows and doors in just eleven days. No sooner were the staff and children off for their Easter holiday did SEHBAC's specialist installation team move in and after just nine days the building was transformed. The work was complete. Femi Akinjogbin the architect for the project said "the work has been carried out like a military exercise, SEHBAC's installers have worked extremely hard" On returning to the school head teacher Peter La Farge said "I am really pleased with the quality of the new windows and doors and impressed to see that all this work had been completed in such a short time. This has made a huge difference to the environment in the school. Our last Ofsted report said "it is a credit to the teacher's professionalism that they achieve the standards they do in such a bleak environment" "I am delighted that we are now getting a building that the children and staff deserve" Mark Dove of SEHBAC said "the time available for this project presented us with quite a challenge and there were a few sceptics that said it could not be done." "I am extremely proud of the team's achievement and delighted that we could meet the challenge". Gold stars all round!!" |
