We are receiving an increasing number of queries and questions about the Green Homes Grant scheme. So, if you’d like to know what the Green Homes Grant is and what it covers, please continue reading. Announced back in July, the Green Homes Grant Scheme will enable homeowners and landlords in England to align their properties with minimum energy efficiency standards and reduce energy usage. Able to help families save up to £600 a year on their energy bills, homeowners and landlords will be able to access a voucher worth up to £5,000, to cover two-thirds of the cost of essential home improvements. General eligibility includes all owner-occupied homes, park homeowners and landlords of private rented sector and social sector domestic properties.
Low income households will be able to access vouchers worth up to £10,000 to cover the entire cost of the works. Low-income eligibility is available for owner-occupied homes and park homeowners. Those receiving income-based or disability benefits would be eligible for a fully funded package of measures, listed here.
The available thermal upgrades are split into ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ measures. To qualify for funding, households must install at least one of the primary measures listed below. And once one of the primary measures has been included in the package of works, households can then install a secondary measure. *
* The amount received towards the secondary measures cannot exceed the amount received for primary measures. So, if you receive a £1,000 voucher for primary measures, you can only receive a maximum of £1,000 towards the secondary measures.

Authorised Green Deal installers must meet the requirements of PAS 2030, which is the standard that ensures installations of energy efficient measures are completed properly, and must, therefore, be completed by a TrustMark & FENSA Registered Business (like us!)
