Modern conservatory roof replacements are often chosen for their fantastic heat retentive qualities. The difference with this home improvement project was the inclusion of rejuvenating cladding to seamlessly blend the new replacement conservatory roof with the existing property.
As the largest home improvement company in the area, a visit to our extensive showroom allowed the customer to browse through our vast selection of products at their leisure. Aiming for a warmer, more comfortable space with added privacy, they required an enduring solid roof replacement with no glass in it.
The UltraRoof380 roof from Ultraframe stood out due to its incredible thermal performance. Offering outstanding energy efficiency levels that are 10 times better than an A-rated window, this popular roof replacement product is specifically designed to trap warm air where it’s needed most during the colder months. Providing the best of both worlds, our modern tiled roof replacements stop the room from overheating in summer too, whilst eliminating the unnecessary stress and worry often caused by planning permission and building regulations.
Complete with a 380mm wide, fully insulated box beam that runs around the perimeter of the roof, superior strength and unrestricted views come as standard with the UltraRoof380 as it eliminates the need for an obstructive tie bar – which is an outdated structural element used to prevent larger conservatory roofs from bowing or warping.
Usually a straightforward process for our highly skilled team of installers, this installation took on an added twist when the customer was let down by an outside company to clad the gable frame and the house wall. Threatening to delay the roof installation by at least two months, we went the extra mile and sourced the midnight black Hardie Plank Cladding that had been originally specified.
Once we overcame the cladding issues, dismantling the existing timber/glass conservatory roof and removing it from the site was a challenge in itself! Taking extra care not to damage any of the original timber windows beneath, the gable frame also needed replacing due to the size of the insulation and box beam.
The cladding came last, which meant we had to scaffold everything over the roof. Dedicated to pushing the project forward and sticking to the customer’s original plans, the customer was so impressed with how we pushed forward, they are planning to transform the conservatory on the other side of the property in the near future with our expert help.
Highly impressed with the way we adapted to the challenges faced on this installation, this project has also been nominated for ‘Best Installation – Residential up to £20,000’ at this year’s GGP Installer Awards. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Manchester on Thursday, March 10.Get a price
Thoroughly satisfied with the outcome, the client said: “The transformation to our property has been amazing, also I cannot talk highly enough of Kevin Wheeler who was managing the project from the start.
“The fitters were regularly on-site and completed the job in the designated time. Kevin called in regularly to speak with his team and keep the quality and standards required.
“We are so pleased with the standards SEH has made and we would strongly recommend the company to carry out any future work on our home.”Get a price
