Sustainability and looking after the environment are crucial considerations every business should be focussing on, for both now and the future. At SEH BAC, we continually strive to make sure our whole business is as environmentally friendly as possible – which is why we have previously been shortlisted as
Best Sustainability Business Finalists at the 2021 G-Awards.
Our commitment to sustainability includes a whole host of environmental improvements internally at our main office and our 11 show centres, as well as a drive for all staff, to become eco-aware.
We have remained at the forefront of the double-glazing industry, on a local, regional, and national scale, continuing to reduce our carbon footprint by the constant pursuit of technology that will enable us to further lower our C02 emissions. Despite all the challenges through Brexit and the pandemic, we have continued to invest in the business in an area that sets a tone for our commitment to the moral responsibility we have to the environment.

At SEH BAC, we have always put our products and our customers at the very heart of our business. But in the last two years we have added a third focus – the preservation of our environment.
Sustainability Tips
Reducing our own carbon footprint
Putting sustainability first, our goal is not only to remain at the forefront of our industry but to continue to reduce our own carbon footprint as much as we can. This includes:
- All our depots use the Green recycling company for their waste, so uPVC is recycled with separate glass unit skips.
- We are replacing all management cars with electric vehicles, whilst using more renewable energy by replacing the lighting in our main head office with more energy efficient lights.
- Reducing the amount of paper used by going paperless, by utilising the latest technology so no printing is required. Put in place in 2019, the impact is already noticeable, allowing sales and survey to be completed within 5 days compared to 20 working days under the old system.
Sustainable home improvement products
In addition to our sustainable goals as a business, we are continually striving to offer the most sustainable products to our customers. This is why we are now offering EcoMAX Glass™️ as standard on all our standard uPVC and aluminium products.
The most sustainable and eco-friendly glass unit on the market, EcoMax Glass™️ uses more recycled materials than any other glass unit in the UK. Engineered from organic materials wherever possible, EcoMAX units are almost fully biodegradable.
What's more, for every installation using Eco Max Glass, a new tree will be planted to help give back to the environment, and you will receive a certificate to highlight how you have helped contribute towards a more sustainable future.
